A good afternoon was had by all at Guiseley’s Street Party for the Queen! The band played, the choir sang, cup cakes were munched, a hog was roasted, strawberries were dipped in chocolate and Guiseley in Bloom sold £164’s worth of plants!
Planning meeting for the spring, or an excuse for a tea-party?! Either way, a good time was had by all at GiB sponsors Flowers by Karen on Towngate.
Over the last three weeks, all the planters have been cleared of summer plants and replanted with pansies and primulas ready for the winter months. Gene Kemp who organises the working parties wrote to all volunteers with thanks for a job well done.

A few members were active at the Railway garden last Sunday morning (15th February) tidying up the area and building a retaining wall to extend the nursery area. 2 wooden planters were also positioned to take vegetables in due course.

Guiseley In Bloom attended the recent Farmers Market in Guiseley last Sunday 15h February. The stall was well attended and drew much interest and raised valuable funds for the group. We also gained a few new members interested in joining us.
